Passport Police Clearance Certificate/Verification apply online

Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. Click on "Register Now".

Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the Login Id created. 

Click "Apply for Police Clearance Certificate" link.

Fill in the required details in the form and submit.

Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment.

Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices.

Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes:

Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)

Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks and Other Banks)
SBI Bank Challan Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents.

If you are applying for Fresh or Re-issue of Passport,applicants using eForm, download soft copy of the eForm, fill the same off-line and then must upload it back. The printed copy of the eForm will not be accepted at PSK/RPO.


For Online Form Submission follow below steps


Step 1 Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. Register Now please click Here.


Step 2 Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login Id.

Step 3 Click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link. If you ever held a passport in the past, no matter how much long back or at what age, you should choose the Re-Issue category only.

Step 4 Fill in the required details in the form and submit.

Step 5 Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment. Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices. Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modules:

For e-Form Submission follow below steps


Step 1 Download the e-Form through the "Download e-Form" please click Here.

Step 2 Fill the downloaded e-Form and click the Validate and Save button in it.This will generate an XML file, which will be required later for uploading in the system.

Step 3 Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. Please click Here.


Step 4 Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login Id.

Step 5 Upload the XML file (generated in Step 2) through the "Upload e-Form" link.Do not upload the PDF form at this stage as only XML file is accepted by the system.

Step 6 Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment. Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices. Passport office in Chennai Tamil Nadu state was established in George Town in the year 1955.(Chennai formerly known as Madras) In the year 1966, it was shifted to the Govt. owned premises of Shastri Bhavan located at 26, Haddows Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai-600006, where a number of other Central Govt. Offices are also located.

Initially, RPO, Chennai was catering to the needs of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in addition to the neighbouring States of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. In 1976 separate passport offices for these three states were established. In the year 1983, RPO, Chennai was again bifurcated and a separate office was established at Trichy with its own jurisdiction. Passport Office, Chennai is primarily responsible for issuance of Indian Passports to the Citizens of India who are residing within its jurisdictional area.
